Recommendation Letter for Lorei Portraits

To whom it may concern,

I was in need of a professional photographer and reached out to Paul Lorei of Lorei Portraits, and I’m so glad we were able to connect.

Lorei Portraits is a professional photography studio with a 30-year history in Erie, PA. They specialize in family and senior portraits, as well as professional head shots. Their stress-free consulting service covers everything from choosing the proper location and clothing to helping identify the best way to display your portraits in your home. They offer in studio, on location, evening or weekend, and even destination photography. Lorei Portraits is so confident in their product, they offer a “100% Happiness Guarantee” – if you aren’t thrilled with your portraits, they will retake or recreate them at no charge!

I needed an updated headshot for a short-notice business opportunity. When I reached out to Paul, I explained that I needed help – I had limited time for a photo shoot and a quick turnaround on the portrait. Paul was incredibly accommodating, fitting me into his busy schedule that same day, and promising to provide me my portraits in less than a week — this is unheard of in photography!

Originally, I had my wife take the photos on my iPhone. After all, Apple raves about their camera! After working with Paul, I realize that it’s not the camera that makes the photo, it’s the photographer who knows how to capture the look you are aiming for. Paul asked me what my vision was, helped me select the proper clothing, and engaged in conversation as he conducted the photo shoot. When we sat down to review the photos, I was blown away at how he was able to capture the professional look I was trying to achieve. My wife will attest, we spent hours trying to capture that look before finally reaching out to Paul – he did it in less than 20 minutes!

I can appreciate a business that saves their clients time, money, and frustration, and produces amazing results – that’s what Schooley Mitchell does for its clients and after working with Paul, that’s exactly what Lorei Portraits does for their clients!

When it comes to photography, you really should leave it to the professionals at Lorei Portraits – they’ll capture that moment in time in such a way that you won’t just have a photo, you’ll have a work of art!

Yours truly,

Adam Baker

Recommendation Letter for Ace Supply Co.

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been purchasing my topsoil and mulch from Ace Supply Co. for years, but I always enjoyed the convenience of calling my order in and having it delivered. After a recent visit to their shop, I realize that I have really been missing out.

Ace Supply Co. is a family owned and operated business focused on landscaping and gardening supplies as well as industrial safety equipment. They provide products for your year-round needs – from bulk mushroom compost for a spring garden, hedge trimmers and zero-turn mowers for your summer landscape, powerful Husqvarna blowers to move those fall leaves, to firewood and salt to thaw you and your driveway during the winter months, Ace has you covered.

I stopped into Ace to ask a quick question and I was greeted by the owner who was as friendly as she was proud. The bright showroom highlighted their Husqvarna power tools and gave off that recognizable orange glow that excites all landscape enthusiasts. As we talked, I learned about how Ace was proud to participate in Harborcreek’s ‘Keep it in the ‘Creek’ week, providing their customers with weeklong raffles and giveaways (if you didn’t make it, you missed out on the leaf blower giveaway and the Dryshod boots!) and how they are more than just a mulch and rock shop. They really do have everything for your outdoor needs!

At Schooley Mitchell we are very proud of the work we do, and we love to run in to other business owners that are just as proud of the work they do.  The team at Ace is rightfully proud of the business they run and the service they provide to their customers.

If you are like me and took advantage of their convenient phone orders, I highly recommend you stop by Ace Supply to look around – you won’t regret it!

Yours truly,

Adam Baker

Recommendation Letter for Pressed | Books + Coffee + Gifts

To Whom It May Concern:

This past week I stopped in to Pressed Books to meet with a colleague and my only disappointment is that I hadn’t stopped in there before! I was blown away by the variety of books, the quality of my order, and the overall atmosphere. Places like Pressed just don’t seem to exist anymore!

Pressed Books is a bookstore, gift shop and full-service coffee shop located in Greengarden Place across from Frontier Park in Erie, PA. They offer an incredibly diverse selection of books – from fantasy to philosophy – as well as a great selection of gifts from both national brands and local sellers. The coffee shop allows you to pair delicious drink selections with local, fresh baked goods. And the seating allows for a mix of customers – from single customers sipping by themselves to groups of friends or colleagues catching up at a table.

Upon entering Pressed, I was immediately enamoured with the charm it exudes. It was extremely clean and organized and radiates a very welcoming atmosphere.  As I made my way from the bookstore to the coffee shop, I was pleasantly greeted by the barista that treated me more like an old friend than a customer. Though they were busy, I was able to find a table, meet a colleague and conduct a very professional meeting.

At Schooley Mitchell we spend a lot of time in coffee shops getting to know other business leaders. Pressed really provided a unique experience for me because of the service and the atmosphere.

From coffee meetings for business leaders, to Erieites looking for a delicious drink, to tourists searching for that unique experience – I highly recommend you stop in to Pressed Books for at least one visit – it most likely won’t be your last!

Yours truly,

Adam Baker

Recommendation Letter for Marquette Savings Bank

To whom it may concern:

I recently attended the “Connect for Coffee” event hosted by Marquette Savings Bank, and I have to say how astonishing their new Innovation Learning Center (ILC) is, located in downtown Erie. The center is bright, vibrant, features state-of-the-art technology, and even hosts a Main Street Cakery Cafe location for patrons to purchase delicious food and drinks!

Marquette Savings Bank positions itself as “the Hometown Bank,” which it is, plus so much more. While they offer the traditional services of the large, national banks, such as personal banking, mortgages, lines of credit, as well as business banking, commercial loans and business credit cards, they truly embrace being that hometown bank. Whether through offering free education sessions to the community, giving back more than $2 million to the Erie area over the last five years, winning awards for their West Bayfront initiative, or utilizing Erie companies and vendors to build and outfit the new ILC, they have truly earned that “Hometown Bank” moniker.

When I was looking for a bank to open a business account with, Marquette Savings Bank was my first choice. I reached out to the local branch, was immediately connected with someone who helped guide me through the process and I was able to sit down, face-t0-face, and have all my questions answered. As I have had additional questions, my help was only a phone call away  – I didn’t have to sort through a national call center to finally talk to someone who could help. That is an incredible feature in today’s banking world.

As a Strategic-Partner with Schooley Mitchell we recognize the value of going above and beyond for our clients and community – its apparent that Marquette Savings Bank cherishes the same value.

I would highly recommend Marquette Savings Bank for any of your banking needs – they are that neighbor that you can always rely on.

Yours truly,

Adam Baker

Recommendation Letter for Burgh’ers Brewing

To whom it may concern:

I recently met with a colleague at Burgh’ers Brewing restaurant for a business lunch and my experience could not have been better.

Burgh’ers Brewing is a farm to table restaurant that specializes in locally sourced burgers, sandwiches, and their own craft beer. Burgh’ers utilizes local farmers, foragers, sustainable fisheries, distillers, and brewers to create fine food, drink, and craft cocktails. Their menu boasts a nice variety of meal options with very reasonable pricing.

As I entered, I was greeted warmly and professionally. Eating out in the time of COVID is much different than before due to restrictions and staffing shortages. At other restaurants, the attention customers are accustomed to has been absent. Not at Burgh’ers. Their staff consistently checked on our table, our food arrived as it would have normally, and I was able to have a great meal and conversation without being concerned about making it to my next engagement on time. The meal was absolutely perfect, from the quality of the food, the portion size, and ultimately the value we felt we received.

I’m not alone in my praise of Burgh’ers Brewing – they were recognized by OpenTable as a 2020 Diner’s Choice restaurant based on the feedback they’ve received from other customers.

At Schooley Mitchell we focus on getting to know our clients and colleagues so business lunches are frequent. My experience at Burgh’ers Brewing really stood out.

I really would recommend Burgh’ers Brewing to any business person wishing to entertain clients and build solid relationships.

Yours truly,

Adam Baker

Recommendation Letter for Jason Luftig of Franchises For You

To whom it may concern,

If you have ever thought of owning your own business, but then fell back to your normal routine because the process was confusing or scary, let me introduce you to Jason Luftig.

Jason is a franchise broker and owner of Franchises For You, and I couldn’t be happier to recommend him to anyone seeking a new, different opportunity. If you are unfamiliar with a franchise broker, they help educate you on different franchise opportunities available, with the goal of matching up prospective investors with the right opportunity.

Jason has put a process in place to really get to know you and what type of business would fit you best. He then provides you with a list of opportunities to review and a plan of how to get from where you are to where you ultimately want to be – business ownership.

There are three great things about working with Jason. First, he provides you with the security of having a guide along an unfamiliar path; because of his experience in the franchising world, he is able to identify legitimate opportunities that match your talents and desires. Second, he is focused on being an advisor to you. At no point will you feel that Jason is pushing or pulling you in any direction; he is there to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision. Third, Jason receives no payment from you – all of his fees are paid for by the franchise company you select, so working with Jason costs you nothing.

I worked with Jason for six months as we identified, investigated, and ultimately invested in a Schooley Mitchell franchise. I’m grateful for Jason’s guidance and friendship, and I’m certain if you use his services, you’ll be just as happy.

Appreciatively,

Adam Baker
