It with great honor and admiration I write this letter in recommendation of an amazing organization, the Mason Wright Foundation. Officially founded in 1892, the Mason Wright Foundation is a donor supported, non-profit organization located in Springfield, Massachusetts.      

First known as the Springfield Home for Aged Men, the Mason Wright Foundation was created after Primus Mason made a generous bequest with the condition that it would be used to establish a home for aged men. After his funds accumulated for a few years, the first home was opened in 1903. Over the years, the foundation has continued to flourish and in 1944 it received its largest donation ever when Horace P. Wright bequest what would eventually become more than $500,000.  

Due to the generosity of Mason and Wright, as well as many other men and women in the community, the Mason Wright foundation has grown to include three affiliate organizations: Mason Wright Senior Living, Colony Care at Home and Bright Futures Early Learning Center.    

Mason Wright Senior Living is an affordable senior living community located in Springfield, Massachusetts with 90 one-bedroom and studio apartments through which it provides assisted living and assisted memory care. Its mission is to provide quality housing and daily living services to support the dignity and independence of seniors without regard for their ability to pay.    

Colony Care at Home offers flexible senior care, home aid and companion services both in home or at a facility. It’s committed to helping provide a better life for seniors and other clients with temporary or permanent disabilities, as well as their families.
