Running a business isn’t cheap — as any business owner can attest.

“I’m friends with the owner, and when I approached him he said that he thought they were pretty well off, but since it doesn’t cost anything to look, go right ahead and give it a shot,” said Delehanty.
When the audit was complete, the client’s merchant services provider demanded that the client also be on the line during the subsequent negotiations.
“He called me back after 15 minutes and said he had no idea what our negotiator was even saying, but they offered just about $9,000 in savings in the first year,” said Delehanty. “He was kind of blown away.”

Delehanty is no stranger to being short on time — he spent ten years as a pharmaceutical rep for two large manufacturers, and the subsequent ten years as a manufacturers rep for two different organizations. In his personal time, Delehanty likes to stay active — both physically and in his community. He plays basketball and golf, loves watching college basketball, and spends a lot of time at his children’s athletic events — including as a volunteer for the youth athletics lacrosse league in his hometown of Brookfield, CT.
He is an active member of Brotherhood in Action, a food pantry that delivers meals around the holidays and end of the school year when underprivileged families often can’t afford to feed their children. He also volunteers at Ann’s Place, a local cancer support group.
If Delehanty could give one piece of advice to business owners, it would be to leave the dirty work to him.
